The Rest Of Yesterday

We started out so early yesterday and the roads were good so we ended up arriving in Pendleton, OR just after noon. Since our plan was to spend the night at a casino hubby decided that was to early to stop for a night in a parking lot.

There were a few black clouds in the sky when we arrived in Pendleton, OR but they didn’t last long.

Even though we had driven for six hours already hubby was feeling good and suggested we pass on our casino stay and continue on to Wenatchee, WA. As long as he was comfortable driving for ten hours I was happy to come along for the ride 😀

The weather was perfect and when we stopped for a lunch break I quickly took off my boots and put my flip flops back on. We did have a head wind for our first few hours out of Pendleton which wasn’t nice to our fuel mileage but it eventually stopped.

A lot of miles with the same scenery.

Once we crossed into Washington state we started to see orchards and it made us feel like we were almost home.

It was a very pretty drive and the weather just kept getting better.

Shortly after 4:00 our ten hour drive came to an end when we pulled into Confluence State Park in Wenatchee, WA. It was a beautiful warm day 20C/70F and we are looking forward to spending two relaxing days in this pretty state park.

Until next time …

  1. We don’t drive those distances anymore but I’m with you about how far my driver wants to go, I’ll go along!

That park looks lovely, I’m glad the weather is still with you.

  2. Glad to hear you were able to switch back to those flip flops. More then once we have a planned stop and Tom has said lets keep going., Like you I always feel that is his decision as he is doing the driving. So I just start looking for another place to stop. Stay safe while you enjoy the rest of your journey.
