We have joined up with Driving Miss Murphy to attend the Good Sam Rally put on by Camping World. The show includes RV’s from twenty-five different manufactures on display, seminars, music, and fireworks. For $60.00 we received passes for all four days of the show and five nights of dry camping, we arrived yesterday and the show starts today.
The show is being held at Phoenix International Raceway. There were two different arrival times for camping, 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. We were happy to have the 8:00 a.m. arrival time because we were able to camp closer to the show and we are in a paved area rather than one of the gravel lots. When we arrived at 7:50 a.m. they parked us right away and there were three other units already parked. We are very happy with our site because we are close to the show but we face a vast open area of desert and hills rather than a bunch of other RV’s.
Driving Miss Murphy was given the afternoon check-in time and they were coming from Yuma so that work out well for them. Unfortunately it didn’t allow us to camp together but they still got a spot on the pavement close to the show.
By late afternoon the lot was filling up and I’m sure the rest of the over 900 units expected will arrive tomorrow.
Until next time …
