Back in December, when we first arrived in Yuma, we had a problem with our bedroom slide motor. After many phone calls to RV Service Departments it turned out that nobody was willing to even come out and look at it until February. Hubby did find one independent fellow who came out but was unfortunately not able to do anything for us. Hubby finally fixed the motor himself but still wanted to replace it with a new motor. Even trying to order a replacement motor in Yuma was a challenge as we were told it could be one of two motors and if we ordered the wrong one, we could not return it. You may remember reading a blog, and this blog, that I wrote about this back when it happened.
Anyway the other day we were driving through Quartzite and noticed that Camping World had set up a temporary location during the big RV Show. Hubby decided to check and see if they could replace our motor under warranty and sure enough they were more than willing to do it. They ordered the motor from their Flagstaff office on Tuesday afternoon, and by 10:00 a.m. Wednesday the part was in Quartzite and the warranty work had been approved. By 2:00 p.m. two service men had been out, installed the new part, and all was working well. Absolutely amazing since this was a temporary office and dealers in Yuma couldn’t even begin to look at it until February and were not really willing to even try and put it under our warranty.
It’s nice to have that project off our plate 🙂
Until next time …
