Okay, I know it’s a little cliché but when the title for today’s blog came to me I couldn’t stop smiling so I had to use it.
Today we met our regular Wednesday coffee group and then headed home to run a load of laundry through and pick a crate of cherries before hitting the road for Saskatchewan.
We will take four days to drive out to Kelliher, Saskatchewan where most of hubby’s relatives from his mom’s side live.
After an uneventful drive we arrived in Golden, BC and are once again staying at the Whistle Stop RV Park. This RV Park is managed by the city of Golden and we have stayed here before, but we were very disappointed in our site this time. Most of the park is set up more like a provincial campground rather than an RV Park but even though I reserved early we were given a site along road with the train tracks behind us on the other side of the river, I would have rather stayed at a rest stop and saved the $35.00 😦 On the upside we were along the river and there is a nice walking trail.
Tomorrow we will head further east and once we pass Calgary we will hit new roads for us 🙂
Until next time …
