Kartchner Caverns State Park

Today we are leaving Butterfield RV Park and driving fifteen minutes to Kartchner Caverns State Park. We took a drive out to the park a few days ago because we want to do the Cavern tour and thought it would be nice to stay at the park as well and we were happy with what we saw. The campground opened up in 1999 when the Caverns opened and it looks nice with modern facilities. Mountains surround the campground and there are many hiking trails up the mountains and to the Discovery Center. It is an easy walk over to Discovery Center where the Cavern Tours are. All 61 sites have water and electricity for $25.00 a night plus a $5.00 reservation.

We are looking forward to our stay at the State Park and our tour of the Caverns.

Until next time …
