The rain is falling in Yuma! Nothing near the level California is receiving, just a very light rain, but rain nonetheless. During our two-month stay here last year we had a few tiny drops of rain that lasted seconds so this is something new for us. On average, Yuma receives 3.36 inches (85 mm) of rain annually and in 2007 had only 0.15 in (3.8 mm). According to Wikipedia the sun shines through a clear sky for about 90 % of the daylight hours in Yuma, making it the official sunniest place on Earth!

So for tonight we are tucked inside Maxx with the windows closed and Christmas movies on the TV … not a bad way to spend an evening:-)

Until next time …
