Flea Market Day

Today we made a visit to the Yuma Swap Meet and Flea Market.  Why, you might ask?  Well every time we run into anyone new at the park they ask if we have been to the Flea Market so we thought it was time to check it out.  I read that the Flea Market has bargains and unique items from around the world, covers 32 acres and has over 1,000 selling spaces. The parking is free and there is room for RV parking if you are just passing through.  Along with the shopping possibilities there is also free live entertainment.  So off we went … and it was a huge let down!  Maybe because it is close to the end of their season, they are only open during the winter months, and many snowbirds are heading home already, or maybe because it wasn’t the weekend, but whatever the reason there was not much to see:-(

On our way back to the RV Park we stopped at the Yuma Indoor Market and it was far more entertaining.  The idea is the same as the swap meet, with individual vendor stalls, but there was a lot more selection.  We spent a little over an hour wandering around and left with two folding directors chairs for Maxx, which means our company won’t have to bring their own chairs to sit outside with us:-)

Until next time …
